When I use my antenna with my internal TV’s tuner I get Dolby Digital audio. When I use the same antenna with my Tablo I get DD with the streaming channels, but PCM with OTA channels. Can anyone explain why? LG TV and app. 4th gen.
I assume you have the audio compatibility mode set the way you desire.
Audio compatibility mode (ACM) should only be needed if you are using a Roku as one of your streaming devices. Even then, only if you were having the ‘picture but no audio’ problem on your Roku.
Right. Don’t have that setting with mine.

The gen 4 fire tv stick app calls it surround sound passthrough. On the roku app it’s called audio compatibility mode.
Other apps who knows.

I have no setting like that on my Tablo app. Believe me, I’ve looked. LG TV.
