Audio Distortion on Recordings

Our Legacy Tablo recently started including a high-pitched squealing distortion on recordings.
It happens on recordings from different channels. Today I recorded two football games on ABC. The first has the distortion, the second has none. The picture is crystal clear.

Football is the only broadcast TV I watch, and now I can’t even watch that.

I saw that this issue has been present for at least five years and clearly not resolved. That tells me Tablo is one of those companies that has adopted the “one and done” customer philosophy instead of making any attempt to retain customers.

What version of the Tablo are you using, the Gen 4 white ‘puck’, or the rectangular black Legacy version?

That is extremely far from the truth. This is a company that definitely listens to its customers and tries to fix issues.

Five plus years is not listening to issues and fixing them.

My legacy Tablo produces a screeching sound on the first recording after the power has been disconnected for at least 10 minutes. Recording a few minutes of an unwanted show as a separate recording before the desired show solves the problem. As long as the power stays on, the problem does not recur.
