ATSC 3.0 remote control

I see the ATSC 3.0 comes with a remote. Do you have to use the remote or can you use Tablo app on Apple TV like I currently do. I really don’t want to keep track of another remote if I don’t have to. Thanks

Hi @TabForum,

The Tablo ATSC 3.0 Quad HDMI will be a fully contained product with its own remote and HDMI port on your TV. There are no plans at the moment for the ability to access it via external apps, such as the one on Apple TV.

As an alternative to requiring another remote, it will have the ability to work with the CEC functions of your TV if supported, which would allow Tablo control via your TV remote. This is also likely possible to do with your other devices.

Are Tablo remotes IR based? Thinking one could also use a universal remote to learn the Tablo remote commands.
