GOOD NEWS!I updated my AppleTV to tvOS 17.2, beta 3 this morningā¦and got a (good) surprise - my legacy Tablo Quad is workingā¦better than it was working before!
If you and your compatriots at Tablo/Scripps/Nuyvvo had anything to do with this - THANK YOU!!
just checked ,1 17.1 not beta, apple tv, the tablo quad seems to be working. added 8 channels, now 28 and its working normal. been 17.1 no update. that means tablo fix on there end i guess?
@TabloTV I think most of these Apple TV users would gladly volunteer to test your beta apps for legacy and gen 4 Tablos. Anything to help speed this along.
All I think we are talking 2 different things here and kinda getting confusing.
This topic was about the new āwhite Tabloā as it does NOT have a AppleTV device app to use. People are asking when the AppleTV device app that works with the new white Tablo will be coming.
Bit the bullet and bought the new white unit as it was on sale for Black Friday. But it will stay in box until Apple TV is supported. So hopefully I didnāt make a big mistake. I have a Silicon Dust unit but it also has issues on Apple TV that donāt appear to be getting solved anytime soon. So really want to replace it.
I agree. It has been in Beta for about 5 months I think, with not even a hint of when final release will happen. When released it should be perfect with all this time. A little update every now and then would be nice.
I have been waiting for the general release and after ~6 months it seems there is no news. I have a Gen 1 quad that runs fine with the legacy app. But all things die so it would be nice to be able to update to Gen 4.
If the Gen 4 does not run reliably on AppleTV then it is a no go. AppleTV support is needed by many of us who run our streaming in Apple devices.
