Apple TV 4K - slow recording playback launch

I recently purchased a shiny new Apple TV 4K, and with it’s faster CPU, I was expecting better Tablo performance. However, when playing back a pre-recorded show, there’s about a 3-second lag before playback begins.

Oddly enough, the lag for the prior generation Apple TV (4) is less than one second.

Any idea what’s going on here?

(BTW, I’m connected to plain old 1080p TV via HDMI, and not using 4K.)

I’m probably in between with my Roku 3, taking 1-2 seconds. It’s not unlike other streaming things though (Plex, Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc.).
