My request has to do with skipping while watching a live or recorded show. In addition to the common request of 30sec skip, I would also like to have the DVR continue on its own when finished skipping. As it is, when you skip, the DVR PAUSES. Then you have to hit the PLAY button. That is an extra button press for every time you stop skipping to see where you are when there are no thumbnails.
The behavior I’m suggesting is the behavior of my TiVo, along with every streaming service I have tried. I see this behavior on Roku and on Android.
ETA: I just want to add that I really like the behavior the way it is with thumbnails. You can easily see where you are when skipping and having it pause actually works well.
