Antenna Channel Video Freezes Immediately Sound Continues

I recently installed the 2 TV Tuner Tablo. Firmware is updated. Antenna channel strength is very good for all stations. For majority of the channels, the video freezes immediately. Sounds continues. It is pretty much unusable at this point. I have a good wifi signal with excellent internet connection speed.

Any recommendations fix this problem? Thanks

You really didn’t provide any information. Whether you are using a sound bar. viewing a linear TV channel or a recording. If it’s a OTA channel or FAST channel. What STB is being used. Or what the sound settings are.

In general, this sounds like an antenna signal issue. Even though you have good signal strength, it’s possible you’re sending to strong a signal, which is overdriving the Tablo tuners.

We recommend disabling the in-line amplifier.

I have tried it with and without the inline antenna amplifier with no success. The streaming channels work fine. 2 of the 40 antenna channels play without video freeze. For example, the ABC affiliate works fine but the NBC and ABC channels freeze (along with other channels.). Thanks

Are you able to move your antenna to a different spot and try this again? Unfortunately, the green dots you see in your rescan lineup reflect only what it was when you last scanned. It wouldn’t hurt to run another one and see if anything’s different.

As for your Internet, it’s not the your internet speed that is of concern here. It’s your internal network speed that may be causing some playback issues.

It might be of note to check the quality of the stations that work versus the ones that don’t (480, 720, 1080). This is also located in the rescan section of your settings.

This exact thing just started happening to me. Same ABC is fine, but NBC just shows like a screenshot while the audio plays.
Has there been any resolution? Any steps you got to work?

Does this happen on the main station or only the sub station, like 24-2 ? These may not be given the best signal. I see this happen on TV in basement. Some won’t play full screen only quarter of tv size.
