I most often use the android app as a remote for viewing on the Chromecast. The problem is that you have to start a stream before connecting to the Chromecast, which takes 15-30 extra seconds to get going. Are there any plans to allow that connection before selecting a stream? That’s the way that all the other chromecast apps that I’ve used work. I’d like to be able to open the app, connect to the chromecast, select what I want to watch and put the phone away.
@jayknight - Unfortunately that requires some heavy integration between the app and player which we haven’t had a chance to get done yet. It is on our to-do list though!
