I had about 20% space remaining on my Tablo’s internal storage, and all of my recordings suddenly vanished. It has started recording again, but only the shows aired in the last couple days, everything else is gone and it now says 95% space remaining.
I assume I’ve just lost all the shows as there likely isn’t any way to recover them.
How could all of my recordings just randomly delete and how can I prevent this in the future?
Turn off auto-delete or marked the recordings as protected. Of course you won’t get any new recordings.
I thought auto delete only starts deleting when it got to 100% full, and even then would just delete the oldest first… not the entire library at once.
Ah, yes, that article makes it seem to me that it would delete the oldest unprotected recordings one-by-one to leave 2 hours of space per tuner available… or am I understanding that incorrectly? For me… the entire library was cleared / deleted in one go.
