All but one tv connects

As everyone knows, this thing is goofy. We always have issues where it can’t find the device and go through various steps to get it to be found again. I’ve wiped and started over the set up on it. We run 3 TVs with this box. I’ve got it working on 2. The third just loads to the screen like a device has never been set up. Ive got a Roku tv, new as of December, and the others are sticks that are actually older. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled a few times. I’ve cleared the tv cache by doing a system restart from settings and doing the remote key combo to clear cache. No change. I don’t want to mess with the device much more without a plan since it is working on the other 2 TVs at least. Any suggestions?

Hi Lori,

What is the model of TV/device that’s not working?

The tv is a Roku Class Select series tv, 2025 model and a Gen 4 Tablo.

Check to see what network your TV is on. If it’s on a guest network, or another network different from your Tablo and the rest of your Rokus, that may be why it’s not being found.

Is your Tablo 4G a 2-tuner or 4-tuner?

I’ve checked the networks and even reconnected them to be sure.

It is a 2 tuner. We’ve ran the same amount of TVs since we got it. It likes to disconnect or not be able to be found occasionally and got tips and tricks to reconnect and a complete reset as a last ditch effort. Then we’re usually good.

On a side note, I do have it working on an old Roku express device. However, I can’t get it to play the main local channels. I get the switch audio option for play back issues which does not help. The channel just crashes back to the live tv list. It’s not all channels. Just seems to be the major networks like ABC and CBS that I’ve checked so far and failed. I have one more tv running off of this Tablo with an old express stick and it’s working great. I rescanned channels but no dice. I feel like I’m chasing a lot of problems at once.

Have you tried disconnecting the two devices that are working (unlpugging from both HDMI and Power) and then trying only the third device that doesn’t connect? Is the third device the Roku TV?

I’m not quite understanding this. Are you suggesting cutting power to the tv and Roku sticks for the ones that are working and then see what the tv that is not working does? Yes. The device that is not working is a Roku brand tv

Just want to make sure you aren’t exceeding the 2 tuner limit of the Tablo. Disconnect everything except the Roku TV (the two sticks on your other TVs) so that you are sure the only thing connected to the Tablo is the single Roku TV/app.

That makes sense. I’ll give that a try.
