When selecting a show to record, you can set start time, end time, and single vs series recording. Later, after the show has recorded, you can set up the Series Recording Options, which include how many episodes to keep, and whether to record from one channel or all channels. In addition, you have to set up the start and end times again, because they have been reset to zero.
It would be a lot easier if you could set up all of the options when you first select the series to record. Why does it have to be set up a second time, only after it has been recorded? It makes more sense to set all of this up once, at the beginning when first creating the timer.
I agree, this is a little clumsy. Also, it is a little different depending on the interface. I think I read in a different post that you are on Fire Stick. I don’t know Fire Stick, but on Roku, once you set the initial programming you can look for it under “Coming Soon” and tweak some of the settings there. Why it is not all on that initial screen I do not know.
You actually do most of my programming on my Android phone. I like that interface better.
The Fire Stick interface has a “Coming Soon” screen, but when you select it, it only lets you change the start and end times. None of the other options are there. Once the event has been recorded, when you select it, the other options appear.
Why you can only do this after it has been recorded does not make any sense to me.
The IOS interface is a lot smoother than the Fire Stick interface.
As a new Tablo user, I am impressed that Tablo is active on this forum and actually listens and responds to its customers! Previously, I was using Amazon’s Recast. Amazon just did what it wanted, did not participate in their forum, and never listened to anything that their customers said. This is a welcome change!
Not only that, but I have not seen Tablo censor any comments, and sometimes frustrated users say some pretty harsh things. To their credit, Tablo takes it. I don’t like anyone being nasty on forums, but sometimes those then lead to some pretty positive conversations, along with bug fixes or new features.
