With the Fire Stick app, it is hard to navigate to programming that is a few days ahead in the program guide. There is a button that skips 1.5 hrs ahead, but you have to press it 16 times to get one full day ahead in the schedule. If you want to go several days ahead, guide navigation gets even harder.
It would be better if the function of the 1.5 hr skip ahead button could be changed to skip ahead one full day in the program guide. It is not that hard to skip ahead 1.5 hrs by using the navigation ring (one show at a time), so losing the 1.5 hr skip ahead is no big deal.
Changing the function of the 1.5 hr skip ahead button to skip one full day in the guide would make it a lot easier to navigate the guide!
I don’t know about Fire Stick, but on Roku if you select the “Favorite Channels Filter” in the upper left of the guide, you can select to jump ahead at least five days. Why it doesn’t allow for the full 14 days of the program guide, I don’t know.
On the Fire TV, highlight the date at the top of the Guide, and the left/right arrow keys will advance 24 hours in the Guide. Also, hitting the back button while highlighted on the date will return to the current date/time in the Guide.
I don’t know about the Fire remote, but IIRC FF on my Roku remote for ultra will advance the guide exactly 24 hours for each button press (I must have a box hilited in the guide for this to work) for a full two weeks, though progress can sometimes be slow or it will just get stuck completely, or maybe even not work at all. But usually works.
REW goes back 24 hours.
Replay button sets the guide back to the current real time.
@PhilP, Advancing the program guide one day by pressing the fast forward button is what I was proposing for the Fire Stick interface.(Currently, that button advances by 1.5 hrs).
