4th GenTablo sold

I MADE Best Buy refund 4th Gen.

If Tablo is stupid enough to recognize previous Gen. external drive, Tablo is …

I contacted my representative. Best Buy and Tablo are in question.

I’m surprised you didn’t notice this wasn’t possible before you purchased your 4th gen. You’ve been a member for almost 3 years… it’s hard to imagine that you didn’t check for this.

It’s clearly listed in many support pages and numerous people have asked about here in just the 3 months I’ve had my 4th gen. Although, I do believe that in one of those support articles it mentioned that Tablo was hoping to support migration sometime in the future. (I suppose the same could be said about AppleTV, so who knows when.)

I’m sorry things didn’t work out for you.

Wasn’t this migration of an external drive from one gen 4 to another gen 4?

Oh… yeah. Might’ve been. Was one of those instances where I only skimmed it because I was looking for different information. Guess we should dig that out.

Either way, it’s not like it was a secret that the drives weren’t interchangeable.

Edit: A quick search and A Guide for Existing Tablo Customers Considering the 4th Generation Tablo Device Apps answers this question as such:

Thank you for correcting me. I swear I saw some blurb somewhere that they were hoping to add this feature.

I take it back.
