Buffering is probably from something internal. Not the Tablo itself.

I found the support to be outstanding. Spoke with a gentleman in Canada who got me squared away. He was not in a hurry helping an 83 YOA man lacking digital skills until he got me connected, he also loaded a software patch(?) to cure another problem.
Now, if I could only learn to be a smart Tablo Gen 4 user after using a Tivo for about 12 years. I loved my Tivo but it broke.

Update well the only way i keep the 4GEN running is about every 5-9 days factory default and the it runs good for 5-10 days …I am wondering if i got a bad unit …I see they are $99 dollars now for Quad…tonight i turned the tablo upside down and placed a small fan on which is the bottom now will see what happens…
Instead of browsing the guide to find shows to setup series recordings for, try this.
Main menu > Shows > Channels > [Network affiliate]
This displays a grid of every show currently set to air in the available guide data for that specific channel.
It works well for seeing all ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC shows in one place.
