4th Gen Tablo App misspells "Catchy" as "Cathy" and doesn't work

Same as the title. I’m in the New Orleans area and while I appareciate the polished look and the guide in the new app, not being able to have “Catchy” is major issue.

When doing a channel scan, the scan will initially show the channel with it’s correct spelling but once the scan is saved and you attempt to access the channel from the guide it’s misspelled as “Cathy” and does not work, it generally says “unknown error” and then the app crashes and closes.

This is not an issue on the legacy app but I would like to use the newer app because using both causes a bit of confusion for my older relatives.

I had typo, It missspells to “Cathy” after saving it.

Hi Folks,

We’ve tweaked the channel data on our end. If you don’t see ‘Catchy’ right away, try unchecking the channel, saving it, then re-adding it and saving it again.

Is all of this still on Gracenote? I saw Court TV change to Confess by Nosey but the guide will never change to the correct channel, not in this economy.

Thanks for the reply, I have the logo but it still says “Failed to load, A network error occurred.” when I select the channel.

When you ran a rescan, did you uncheck the channel and save the changes? Then did your run a rescan again and save after rechecking the channel?

I just did that exactly as you explained and it’s saying “A Playback Error Occured” on screen.

This may be due to your tuners being overpowered.

Switching off your Tablo’s TV amplification, or any other amplifiers you might be using, may help.

ETA I’m using a legacy tablo, so I don’t have the option to turn off amplification, I turned off my antenna’s amplifer and it made no difference.

Are you using Legacy Tablo with the legacy app? Then you do not have the built in amplifier as an option. But if you are using the Legacy Tablo with the 4th Generation app you can turn the built in amp in the settings.

I mentioned that in a previous post. I was talking about the amplifier that came with the antenna.
