I have a 2 month old 4th gen 4 tuner for sale or recycle. Going back to my old Legacy Tablo of 7 or 8 years ago. Glad i still have it.
Too many problems with 4th gen (since i got it a couple months ago) with watching recorded shows both partialy in progress and after recording has finished. Sometimes issues are only via Roku Streambar Pro and Roku Ultra 4k, and also sometimes with android phone/tablet app.
Todays AFC championship game was the straw that broke the camels back.
All Rokus and Tablo are Ethernet hardwired direct to router.

I feel for you! I had lots of issues using a fireTV stick for over a year. Finally Tablo made fixes that resolved most (but not all) of the issues. I did buy a $20 ONN stick that worked very well as a fall back.
So my advice is do what you plan or go spend a few more bucks and get an ONN stick and you will be happy.

The Android app worked for me yesterday ( on the ONN 4k puck ), but not the Roku app on both the Ultra ( older model ) and stick 4k.
I wish I could go back to my legacy. I never would have bought a gen 4, but the old legacy was starting to act up. No good alternatives out there.

I returned the Gen4 and went back to the Legacy. Best move I ever made.

FYI, I saw a few Legacy Dual Lites on eBay.
