Software Engineer for last 25+ years with specialty in Linux. For my day job I created an embedded linux appliance much like Tablo (with web interface etc) and hundreds of them are out there working as a distributed control system for linear synchronous motors used in automation.

I have a strong interest in networking and comms primarily and mess around with enterprise grade outdoor wireless networks.

Cord cutting was a natural thing to do since it’s tech based and I took the dive about a year ago and Tablo has been integral for getting local channels needed to round out what I don’t get with Sling TV. 3 Rokus in the house, Tablo, Sling, Netflix for the wife, and occasionally we use Prime TV.
