Will the Tablo app work on THIS tablet?

It’s a Kindle Fire HD 8.9" screen.

The Amazon site will NOT let us download the Tablo app, says it won’t work and you know how Google and amazon are, if they believe for a second it won’t work, you can’t have it even if it WILL work.

So, this tablet here -

Will the Tablo app work and if it WILL, is there another way BESIDES from Amazon I can get the app for this device? Amazon isn’t being very helpful. this is THE device I bought for my wife in Jun 2013.

You linked the same product.  That link is for a 2nd generation Kindle Fire HD 8.9.  Tablo only supports the 3rd generation of the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

Here is the link to all the Kindle Fire Tablets that are supported by Tablo: http://community.tablotv.com/discussion/738/tablo-app-now-available-on-kindle-fire-tablets-sorry-not-kindle-fire-tv-yet

Yeah, I apparently hit the keys a second time as I hit to post. The notebook keyboard is a bit weird and sometimes you touch a key and get nuttin’, sometimes it’s a surprise. Needs cleaning for one thing with 5 cats helping me type.

So, it won’t support that one, interesting. Guess that leaves us sort of screwed then since the one and only thing we own that Tablo works with is a Windows 7 Satellite P775-S7320 notebook and the web app.
Need to do some re-evaluating as having a single device and being stuck with the web app means that when the Internet drops - and it does a lot, often evenings or bad weather, we can’t even talk to the Tablo and it means having to turn on a notebook, boot up, launch Chrome, etc.
It means also my wife won’t be able to use it as this notebook is far from convenient for her and her handicap. (not everyone has full use of two good arms and 2 hands with 5 fingers each that all function. Her kindle has been her tablet/computer)
She’s been after me all week to get it setup so she can use it to watch shows or record or whatever and I’ve been putting her off.
Rats.
Back to the drawing board, as they say, I guess.
Looks like you have to have devices bought in the last 8 to 12 months to use Tablo and we just aren’t there.
