Why is Tablo Volume so muted?

Have a 4th Gen four tuner Tablo for a year or so now. Due to client instability problems on Samsung TVs I moved to Roku units on all TVs to sidestep the Samsung Tablo Client’s buggy software.

So now I run the Tablo app on Roku and things work fine except volume is very muted. When compared to YouTube and a couple of streaming apps I have, I go from a TV volume setting of around 20 to 70 with Tablo, the difference is major.

I’ve toggled between Audio Compatibility Mode on and off but no joy. No breakthrough improvement. I looked for Roku setting that might be a factor but how would that explain the app to app disparity in volume? What’s going on here???

I find just the opposite. On my Roku clients, I find the Tablo to be just a little louder than my other services.

I have found that anything recorded or live from OTA is always at a significantly lower source volume than their streaming counterparts. My typical volume for streaming (You Tube traditional, Netflix, HBO Max, etc.) is around 18-20. For OTA channels, it’s 40-45 for about the same loudness. I always have to turn down the audio when switching from OTA to streaming.

On my Roku I need to enable the Auto Volume… that usually levels out all the apps volumes.
