Why doesn't Tablo map in as a device on my network?

Hi,

Tablo doesn’t map in as a device on my local network like all of my other network devices do (IP Cameras, Roku boxes, etc.) It doesn’t show up to my Windows PCs or to my router. I can access it at my.tablotv.com, but I don’t understand why it doesn’t map in like all of my other network devices. Does anyone know?

Thanks.

It does show up as a DHCP client on your router.

What is the brand and model of your router?

I did find it in the router now, thanks. (It’s the AT&T Router/Modem they provide.) I couldn’t find it when I looked before. Not sure how I missed it. Finding it provided me with the MAC address I was looking for as well.

The MAC address of the Ethernet port is also on the box

I do agree that it is strange that it doesn’t show up on a PC as one of the devices on a network (at least it is there on routers). I never really paid much attention to it, but I do see my Chromecast, FireTv, and both Rokus on my PC.
