Well this is awkward

Aw man, yeah, just had a brain fart. The coax where the router and modem are are from Comcast, not from my antenna. If I used a diplexer to feed in and back out, would that plit the? I know that is to play nice with satellite signals, just thought maybe here too. Sorry, video stuff just isn’t in my wheelhouse.

I have no problem with OTA signal, just don’t want to dramatically reduce my internet download speed; I have a huge daily payload for business.

Unless you have already split your incoming cable already, you should not see any speed drop by taking another split. The cable company typically provides 6-10 dB margin to allow your internal wiring and distribution to work properly. And cable modems have good tolerance for some addition attenuation.

It is easy to test. Temporarily install the splitter with the other port properly loaded / terminated and run Speedtest. You should see the same bitrates with and without the splitter.
