Watch a Channel and not a Show

I have noted that I can select a channel to watch by selecting the current program on that channel. When the show ends, I get the nice popup that tells me the show is over and if I want to keep watching that channel, I have to select the next show, etc. etc.

How can I just watch a channel until I switch or turn off?

You need to click on the channel number on the far left,

Should be able to click on the ch# on the left side of the menu guide. (See the hilighted ch in pic)
