Title Stuck on Top in Xbox One app

In the last month or so, when using the Xbox One app for playback, a bar appears at the top of the screen and the only thing in it is the title of the episode. It overlays the video so it is obstructing whatever is behind it (i.e. football score). It is super annoying and I cannot figure out a way to get rid of it. If I use Google Chrome, I see the same bar when the video playback is not in full screen mode, but the bar in the browser is not obstructing any video, it appears above it. This did NOT happen a couple months ago. Has anybody else experienced this and been able to solve it?

I’m not experiencing this problem on my Xbox. From your description, though, it sounds like it could be the bar that appears at the top when the play/pause and timeline controls appear at the bottom. If so, both should fade away once the video has been playing for a second or two. If it’s not, maybe some internal setting in the app got corrupted.

Have you tried deleting and reinstalling the app? Might clear it up.
