I’m talking about when you fast forward through a program. It’s much easier to hit a spot with our Roku’s.
Yup.
One of the secrets to not hating the Apple TV remote is to click the middle of the touchpad (or hit pause) before using the swipe gesture to zip back & forth through the timeline.
Clicking the right or left edges of the touchpad will only advance things by 10 seconds and you won’t see any FFWD previews.

I use a Harmony Elite on the TV where we have our ATV. I assume all I have to do is hit pause on that as well - I’ll be trying that tonight.
I can always program the keys on the Elite to mimic your example as well.
