Thought you may enjoy this

Had an issue the last few days but all is good now after a complete system reboot. Guide not working, scheduled programs not recording etc. Check this out.j

That actually makes some sense. A lot of computers base their time on Unix or Epoch time, which is the number of seconds since 00:00:00 on Jan 1, 1970. So I bet the Tablo defaults to zero when there hasn’t been an update, which would be 50 years ago.

I agree. Funny though.

If you don’t understand why it makes some sense to @snowcat read why tablo required internet access:
Tablo FAQs: Do I Need Internet to Use a Tablo OTA DVR?

Without the correct time, your Tablo will either think it’s been put into a time warp back to 1970, or if it gets the right date but the wrong time, schedule recordings or show a live TV grid for the incorrect time slot.

It’s just how things work. It’s funny they didn’t include a RTC (then it’d need a battery), but other SoC don’t always have them either.

I want to rent your time machine, as I have corrections to make in the past.
