Trying to setup TF1282B-02-CN for first time. I pulled mac from unit and plugged in with wired connection. I see mac on switch, assigned static reservation in DHCP server, and I can ping and it shows web splash screen so I know its online and working.
But to setup within the app from my iPhone, I select wired vs wireless and it can’t find the device. The phone is on same wifi network, so i expected it would find it. I tested with an older iPhone and same. So this is some kind of ethernet wired setup issue.
The setup app does not seem to have option to input direct its IP.
Is the LED on the Tablo solid blue? Does it show up on this status page? My Status - Tablo TV If so, click the Details button and verify it’s using the ip address you gave it.
I got it to work. This unit I tried to install for my parents at a different location and had it setup there. When I setup in my house I held down reset 20 then power on. 20 secton press and believed it was reset. I do not think it took the reset. So that may have been a factor.
The phone app over wifi (same VLAN as wired) was never able to find it, but just to move the project forward, I installed the app on my FireSticks. They are wired. The found it right away, and that is when It showed under old account that phone could not get past.
I think some root cause on why phone could not find, but TV could is maybe worth support teams investigating.
