Tablo is not receiving Network Channels

Before I connect a coax cable to any device/TV I always check the little center conductor to make sure it is centered, and not bent over.

@bernies_groove, I think you are right about the FAST channels. Those look like the channels that appeared. I’m going to hang the antenna on the window or as close to the window as I can get it instead of hanging it behind the TV and try scanning the channels first without the amplifier and then if I have any luck screwing on the amplifier try scanning the channels with the amplifier.

@TabloForumAdmin Thanks for the tips. I will try again with the antenna first after I hang it on the window and see what results I get with the antenna first and then with the Tablo.

@andyross To clarify, the problem is that the TV in the bedroom is on the wall and the mount doesn’t have an option to move the TV away from the wall so I can’t see the connections in the back. I am screwing in the amplifier connector blind. When I try to screw the amplifier cable into the “antenna in” connector, I can’t get the collar to tighten because it’s so short and it keeps coming off. The antenna cable screws in fine into the connector because it is longer. I will try again this weekend.

@SophieCat you are right. It was a little bent. I had to straighten it out.

@andyross I’ve attached a copy of the rabbitears.info. The search distance is

Looks like a generally due East direction should pick up most. You should be able to get all the main networks. It looks like NBC would be the weakest.

To add, if you still have issues with the flat antenna (make sure the center conductor is not damaged and straight on all connectors) you may need to try something else. If outside is not an option, then you can try some Antennaman has reviewed as good.

Pricey, but should be good is the Televes Dinova Boss Mix. It can be used inside or outside, and is small enough that it could be hidden outside if you can a decent spot. This link is direct from Televes, but you can find it elsewhere.
