Tablo Exporter - Export Tablo Recordings

From the command line?
You should have received some output. What kind of shows do you have recorded and how many?

Yep (command line). Here’s what I get when I run it:

C:\Users\Mike\Downloads\tabloexporter>java -jar TabloExport.jar
This is Version 0.02c build 41
C:\Users\Mike\Downloads\ffmpeg-20150513-git-51f6455-win32-static\ffmpeg-
20150513-git-51f6455-win32-static\bin\ffmpeg.exe
C:\Users\Mike\Downloads
tex x = 1343.000000 ps x = 1343.000000

My wife recorded a bunch of knitting shows from PBS, and we have a few movies. There’s a total of about 56 shows recorded, 7 of which are movies. It’s really weird - because I reloaded the VLC extension and that method seems to be working properly now for some reason.

Mike

Well, then there was no error getting shows, which is strange then if you are not seeing anything loaded.

Run this in the browser, but use the IP Address of your Tablo

I didn’t

Ok, now take one of those numbers and fill in the appropriate data on the URL below. Look for a meta.txt file and click on that and paste that into a PM to me, to avoid putting this all in here

Hmmm

Interesting it took out my

Ok - switching to PMs to continue…

Thanks again…
Mike

Ok, thanks to @MikeNE I was able to put another fix in place that handles some Tablo’s with other chars in the name\

Thank YOU - I just exported an episode and everything went perfectly. This is a GREAT solution to our export problem! I’m loving it!

Thanks again,
Mike

55mb large? Lol its 2015 Right? This looks awesome. Looking forward to trying it out. I’d much rather watch my recordings on Plex than any of
the current Tablo Apps.

Um, the zip is 483k not sure what you mean.

No, I was replying to a comment that people might complain about a 55mb download
Maybe I replied to the wrong post.

If I’m not mistaken you mention a 55mb download here. That’s what I was replying to…

That was a very long time ago and it was because it included everything in the file. I have since abandoned that idea

I’m interested in trying this but how do you use it? I’m running Win 8.1. If I double click the TabloExport files it simply open two blank, white windows… Tablo Video Exporter and Tablo Export queue. I take it I’m missing something here, like instruction on how to run it  I read through this thread but I must be missing it somewhere.

You need the latest version of Java: you can get that at java.com

Then you should be able to run it correctly.

You can try running from command line to see if you have any errors:

java -jar path-to-jar\TabloExport.jar

ok had to reboot for java to finish. Do I need to download ffmpeg or something?

Yes, you will also need ffmpeg.

Pretty cool! Seems to be working. I set it to output to a Plex folder.

@Jestep Awesome work on this program. I finally got a chance to try it out today and had no issues at all. Thank you for all the time you’ve put into this as well as your help in getting it setup.
