"Tablo Connect" on the Roku

The last I recall, @TabloTV said Tablo Connect requires sockets and Roku doesn’t have a way to program sockets.

The last thing I will point out is that the Roku itself doesn’t have a built in VPN client like say an iPad or iPhone or android device. This will require you have a separate router at the remote local to act as the VPN client.

Thanks for the advice on the WD firmware update - I will do that. I also tested the Full Quality link on Android and I do get occasional buffering. Yes - I thought I would have to install a VPN router at the remote location as well - I will do that in the next few weeks and see how it work. Thanks again for all your help!!

Let us know how it all goes.

But my thoughts are it isn’t going to go well as Full Quality get buffering already on your Android device. Any VPN connection has some overhead.

@theuser86 When you say set up a VPN at the remote location. Do you mean the location where the tablo is or the location where the roku is?
