Resurrecting this thread to say I did finally get this working.
What didn’t work:
Hamachi
Creating a VPN connection (OpenVPN) to my Netgear router on my home network
What did work:
Creating a VPN connection (PPTP) to my Synology NAS on my home network
I followed these instructions and then connected to my home network from my desktop at work using Windows 10’s built-in VPN client. my.tablo.com was then able to see my tuner and I was good to go!
This is probably not helpful if you don’t own a Synology device, but it worked for me on the first try - no extra configuration required.
