Are you saying that tablo doesn’t care about it’s customers investments in STB’s and they will require the latest hardware. Of course that doesn’t explain why the legacy app works as do all the other OTT apps.
Or maybe they can explain why the gen 4 roku app thinks there are 23 mens and 4 womans college basketball games. Why magically on Tuesday the Featured Sports had “college basketball” show up, or why it only contains 23 games, and why “all Sports” contains no college basketball games.
So this seemingly new screen is now showing up sporadically…maybe once per day.
Because we’ve never seen this before, it may have been added in the recent update. We suspect that we’ve had unknown issues in the past that caused crashes or other issues, so @TabloEngineering may have added an error check in their last update that presents this page.
This screen has been around on the Android versions of Tablo for some time. I find it useless as it seems to be a “generic” message for “Tablo somehow screwed up”. I have never once ever seen anything remotely like this watching OTA TV from direct antenna feeds to any of my 4 different TVs. I’ve even switched back and forth a couple of times when this message appears.
My belief is it is caused by Tablo’s inherent inability to handle “normal” blips in reception that even the cheapest low-end Walmart TV handles without any more than a “flicker of a few pixels” before continuing on normally. The fact that Tablo can’t seem to “plow through” these situations without throwing up has always puzzled me.
Another annoyance - it’s 8:01 PM and Next Level Chef just ended, so we hit the Back button and the Guide still shows it’s about to start at 8:00 PM. The schedule was from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
I just installed it on my android sharp tv and it worked fine for a while then the annoying things happened . What i did was just uninstall and reinstall it - and restarted my TV .
Seems to be okay now , i hope it continues to be ! .
Just wondering if Tablo Tv has more sports than Real King Tv. I’m currently using it & it seems to have a good amount of sports content. Has anyone compared the 2?
An issue that I thought was fixed has cropped up again. When scrolling up and down through the guide, the information for some channels changes from the correct info, to “Programing not available”. This happens in real-time. I can see the info suddenly change to “Programing not available” as I am looking at the guide!
Afterwards, getting the channels to show the correct data again is a problem. When this happens, I select “Library”, “Settings”, and other menu items, then go back to the program guide. Sometimes, the correct data does not show up again for several minutes.
Maybe Tablo should confine itself to only a few platforms and hone them to perfection. Channels DVR for example refuses to support Roku because of its goofy demands of programmers
