I currently have a rooftop antenna and either a roku stick or roku express on 3 tvs. I notice that an ethernet cable is included in the purchase. Is the ethernet cable required or can the Tablo be set up using wifi? My assumption is that any channels currently viewed from the antenna will be available through Tablo. Is this correct? How many hours ahead can you find programs on the free guide?
Tablo can use wired ethernet or WiFi. As some have noted, WiFi generates quite a bit of heat. And of course, wired is almost always better than WiFi performance and reliability wise.
As with a new TV, the Tablo will scan for channels and allow you to select the ones you are interested in.
