why is the tablo so slow now? too many users? no foresight? too big, too fast? too greedy
What do you mean, too slow - Live TV?, FAST channels? The device? The app?
What’s your antenna system? What’s your streamer? Your network? ISP?
Thanks for your reply. I apologize for being vague; just a bit frustrated. The loading of the app (AppleTV, iPad, iPhone, Moto G) either fails (Network connection is lost) or takes a long time. Then, when changing channels, it disconnects (network) then either fails or takes a long time. But other times, it works like it has always worked. It’s an established installation, very stable: ChannelMaster flat panel antenna, Netgear router on Cox fiber. Still waiting on the firmware update to 2.2.56-- maybe it will fix this. Again, thanks.
I don’t think the problem is the Tablo - It sounds more like the OTA signal or the network. Is the network WiFi? And just because you sometimes get a good signal doesn’t mean it’ll always be good.
Usually, OTA signal issues result in pixellation/freezing while network issues result in pulsating 3 dots or circle, circle, circle.
I agree. This definitely sounds like a network issue. If you have not done so already, I would recommend rebooting router. Also, how is the Tablo connected to the router, Ethernet, WiFi?
This is one of those situations where it’s always the other guys fault. You get that a lot here. I run into these same issues, using an Ethernet cable and with a network that is mysteriously slow or inconsistent only when using the Tablo. The way I look at it is: at least it’s working. I can use it,therefore I put up with the sluggish response times. Good luck.
