Says Weak signal

Hi, it worked for about 3 years, now doesn’t show any channel, none.
I’ve rebooted
I rescanned, got 43 channels, most with full green dots.
Every other Tv in the house receives channels fine.
But Tablo says Weak signal, Retry Playback.

Anybody else have this issue? I’d my Tablo Toast?

Update,
I disconnected and reconnected to see is any of that helped , power, antenna, Ethernet, hard drive.
Now I can tune channels but no playback , it says no storage connected?

Does that mean hard drive dead? But I can still see all the stuff on the drive.

I’m getting frustrated

What you see is the description of what should be on the disk. Not whether it’s there and accessible.

Most disk manufacturer provides a utility that can perform a nondestructive evaluation of the state of your drive. Take your disk to a PC and run it.

Thank you zippy,
I connected the USB drive to my laptop and nothing happened.
I can hear/feel the disc spinning. My laptop not even recognizing that a device is plugged in.
I think there was a blue light on the Seagate drive and it’s not on.
Trying to think of it was 10 or 12 years old, it was on my channel master DVR before Tablo

If it’s a windows PC it won’t automatically mount the drive because it’s a linux file system. But if it’s functional at all a seagate utility should be able to access it. And windows should detect that a USB device has connected.

But 10-12 years would be an old drive. I have 2 WD’s on my legacies coming up on 11 years. And keep expecting them to crash and burn

Thank you, Amazon delivering new drive tomorrow.
Unfortunately lost everything I was saving and a bunch of series I was hoping to catch up on.
I have/had whole season of the Law and Order shows and last half of the season of the 3 FBI shows, I might never see now :frowning:

Paramount+ will catch you up on the FBI shows & Peacock will cover L&O.

Thank you, services I don’t have because I have OTA DVR. I guess i should have replaced the HD when it was 10 years old

I also have OTA DVR; but have P+ & Peacock for the shows that are not OTA. They have also come in handy when for whatever reason a show didn’t record.

I subscribe to streaming services to watch the shows I can’t get OTA, then cancel until the next season. Thus I subscribe to a couple of services for a month apiece, and watch what I recorded on the Tablo the rest of the time.
