Are you on the most recent firmware update (2.2.24)? This should prevent this from cropping up. If you’re still seeing this behaviour, make sure not to delete any of the duplicates and send our support team a ticket. We’ll take a look.
Just an update and final solution.
In addition to the duplicate recordings I was receiving other oddball errors which seemed to be possibly related to the hard drive. I swapped the WD320 drive for an older, smaller WD160 and all the problems disappeared. I ran a suite of drive tests on the WD320 that was apparently causing all the problems and it passed all scans with flying colors. So, Tablo just did not like something about the drive despite it being a “good” drive.
Problem solved, mystery not solved.
