I’ve been having trouble with some of my recorded programs. About halfway through the program will reach the “end” of the program and go back to the beginning. Even though there should still be half the program left. Anyone know what I need to do?
From your description, I think what you’re seeing is a signal drop or some other condition that breaks the recording. You’ll usually end up with multiple pieces: before the break and after the break. They’ll have the same name and date. Watch them in order, and you should have most of the show. Of course, you’ll probably lose a little bit at the point where the recording broke.
There could also be little snippets of failed recording attempts in the gap. When the original recording fails, the Tablo will keep trying to restart recording. Sometimes the problem still happens, and you’ll get a failed recording attempt (or two or three) logged before the Tablo manages to get the recording restarted.
