Record and Playback Buffering even with SSD drive

If you only have a 2.4 wireless router… then this is another story.

BUT if you’re 3ft away from your dual-band router and sitting on the 2.4 band… something is a miss.

My 4th generation tablo contains 2TB of storage, why would you need more?

Johnxi: My 4th Gen Tablo only contains 50 GB of internal storage. Your model is different, if it does indeed contain 2 TB internally.

KimchiGUN: Sitting relatively close to the WiFi, I’ve run speed tests on both the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands. The 2.4GHz band is much, much slower; like 1/3 of the 5 GHz speed tests. And that is expected, as you well know. Hard wiring the Tablo into the router eliminates at least one bottleneck to get to the Dongle.

Why are you using the 2.4ghz band over the 5ghz band on your CCwGTV device?

269587: Thanks for the suggestion. I had not opened the settings on the CCwGTV. On the router, I saw that it was on the 2.4 GHz side, so set the router to 5GHZ for this client only, and turned off/on the Wifi and it joined back correctly. We will see what the performance increase is over the next few days.

Thanks!
