I am having first major issue with my 4tuner Tablo, may be a a year old and all of my 4k AppleTVs (2) but not my oldest old remote AppleTV that still works fine. Very disappointed.
Reset my router, reset and reinstalled Tablo on my appletvs then did yet another reset on all
All software is current on AppleTVs and Tablo
Nothing has brought back smooth video playback and every other app works flawlessly on AppleTVs
Tablo runs perfectly on our iPhones and iPads and LG TV
It has a pin wheel in the upper left spinning seemingly non-stop. Every 10-15 seconds the video will jerk forward then freeze again. This process repeats itself and never plays normally.

Weâve brought this up to the product team, theyâre wondering if this happens with all channels or only select ones. If select ones, which ones and are they over-the-air, streaming or both?
If you would, would you check Apple TV Settings â General â About â Model and share with us the tvOS version and models of your Apple TVs? Noting which ones work and which ones do not.
Thanks for working with us so far. We have some theories what might be happening.
In the Apple TV settings for the ones that are seeing the issue (the newer Apple TVs), can you try going to Video and Audio â Audio Format, then check at the bottom if the âContinuous Audio Connectionâ feature is there? If it is and is ON, can you try turning it OFF, then force close the Tablo app (Double click the âTVâ button on the remote, then swipe the app up), then reopen it? Then see if the issue still occurs.
Yes, video plays correctly after you switch to TV Speaker rather than Homepods. I donât see the option to turn off âcontinuous audio connectionâ either. Iâm using a pair of the Homepod Minis.
To a T, literally started having these exact issues yesterday. I followed what mastrfish did, changed my audio output to the TV instead of my two HomePods, and the channels have been playing flawlessly now. Table also has been running perfectly on my iPhone. Iâll stand by for a fix so that I can use my HomePod speakers again.
