Can Tablo be used without a roku or other device ?

The Tablo does not have an HDMI output thus you cannot connect it to an HDTV directly.

However, you do not need a Roku, you can watch the Tablo on smartphones, tablets, and computers.

The Tablo can be used in a lot of ways. It is a basically a media server that captures OTA TV broadcasts on a hard drive, and those shows can be played on a Roku, FireTV, Android TV, AppleTv (by casting from another device), Chromecast (by casting from another device), PC, Mac, iPad, Android tablet, and most smartphones.
