NEW - Legacy Tablo Firmware Release (v. 2.2.60)

Hi @eek,

What devices do you use with your Tablo? Try updating your firmware through one of their Tablo apps.

the website only.

you fixed it a few days later.

I have the same question. Will the new features be available on HDMI legacy DVRs?

(never received any notification about this no notification about the trade in coupon i have 2 HDMI tablo 1 i am using now the other is still brand new in the box i hope these are going to continue to work i pay for the guide and get advertisement erased )

Doesn’t show when I do check for updates…so not quite available for all just yet. we have HDMI tablo

As stated in the first post of this thread, HDMI Tablos are not included in this firmware update, so you will not receive this update.

Hi there,
since it seems we have an HDMI, I’m left perplexed as to why Tablo sent us an email telling us to update urgently when Tablo knows full well what model we have and that it did not apply to us.

What a waste of your time and mine!

BTW the About info on the device settings menu doesn’t actually say anywhere what model it is, you have to intuit it from the side menu which in our case says “Display more information about your Tablo HDMI” when you hover over “More information” and if you click on that “more information “ it has
About
Restart
Status
network and other information
Under which it has the ip address and the up time

So from that I figured we had a plain HDMI since there’s zero mention in the info of “dual” or “quad”

Now that I go to untangle the wires and turn over the box I see on the bottom that it’s actually Dual HDMI
So the about info is somewhat POOR.
Sigh!

I guess they thought the truth was self evident since only HDMI models have a HDMI connector on the back panel and a remote.

For the issue were legacy Roku apps’ guide shows all sporting events showing up as diagonal bars, try toggling the 14-day live TV Grid option OFF and ON in SETTINGS.

I don’t want a 14 day live grid. It doesn’t work on older roku ultras. I don’t use the live TV grid to schedule anything. I usually check the Live TV grid to determine if any of todays scheduled recordings are either actually recording or scheduled to record or I missed a sports event to record..

This coupled with the change to extend live have caused me to move more important recorded sports events to plex.

I have been checking my tablo updates available under settings. It shows version 2.2.42 but when I check for updates, it says that I have the most recent update

I believe all this was explained, for confirmation

  • after 5/22 it will be impossible to update a legacy tablo
  • if, for example, the way I access my tablo is via WebApp, it will be otherwise uesless
  • It “might” have limited function via other devices/apps

I have 2 Tablo Duo Lite’s in storage, for backup maybe. So unless I dig these out, connected and configured before May 22, I’ll never be able to update them?

Do you have a network connected Tablo or is your’s an HDMI connected Tablo? If it’s an HDMI connected Tablo it is not eligible for this firmware update. However, if you have a network connected Tablo, I would contact Tablo Support to get their help in updating your Tablo.
