Hey Bill!

You were previously seeing prompts to update to 2.2.58 on your Fire TV stick. When we started rolling out 2.2.60 we stopped offering version 2.2.58 to ensure folks like you on 2.2.42 only have to update once.

2.2.60 will be in full rollout by next week, so you should see a prompt in the coming days.

I tried to update and it says its updated. Viewing data is on. My firmware 2.2.42. Im confused. I have legacy Quad HDMI. Do i still need to update? And when will it?

Thank you for this response–I have a functional-except-for-dead-Ethernet-port original Tablo 4-Tuner which I pulled out of storage and reset to factory settings. It also was on firmware 2.2.42 and similarly insisted it was up-to-date.

No, you don’t need to upgrade. The Legacy HDMI is not slated for this upgrade.

Can I then update within my tablo app in the “About” section by selecting the “Check for updates” option? I just wanted to avoid times when we are recording programmes.

You can. For those not on the list yet, it could take a couple of attempts.

If we have the legacy quad HDMI I see we do not have to get an update for are HDMI connected DVR so I was wondering are we also going to be able to receive the new features on our HDMI quads and dual dvr

It’s been almost 2 months since Tablo announced version 2.2.58 was rolling out. I have 2 legacy Tablos that have not yet received the update. Should it take this long?

I like how this issue is just being ignored.

Probably shouldn’t take this long. However, if you’re on 2.2.42, they’re now pushing 2.2.60 and skipping 2.2.58.

Maybe submit a ticket and DM @TabloTV the ticket number and a link to your post (31).

I received the .60 update a few days ago and it seems to be working fine. I’m now also able to uncheck the data collection check box.

Which model of legacy Tablo do you have? The patch isn’t avalible for Tablo DUAL HDMI, QUAD HDMI, however, they do not need the security update. They should work fine even after the deadline.

The product team has gotten back to us but needs some clairification.

From what we understand you’ve found that you are locked out of changing a number of recordings such as.

  • A Charlie Brown Christmas
  • A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas
  • Frosty the Snowman
  • It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown
  • Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
  • Santa Claus is Coming to Town

You can’t enable them, you can’t remove them from you list.

Is this correct?

If so, you mentioned this is happening with all your apps. Would you share your app kinds and versions with us?

I can’t re-enable a series recording on these.
I was told it’s because there are no airings coming up…but…
I have other shows that have no upcoming airings, just as the ones listed, and I can add and remove a series recording as I wish.
