Maybe fake news… maybe not ,but it would not surprise me if it were tue.
One of the reasons I don’t connect my LD OLED to the Internet is that is constantly popped up an anooying message that said there was a new version of WEBOS. The pop up lated for about 30 seconds and there was no way to defeat it. The version of WEBOS that was installed in the tV when I got it was a nightmare so there was no way I was going to upgrade to a newer version. The TV has been disconnected from the Internet since the first day I had it.
My LG OLED can store all the info and data it can hold but it will NEVER be connected to the Internet.
