Loading Please Wait and Other Issues

I see this issue frequently. What usually solves it for me is restarting the Tablo TV (not the Roku 3). It happened today watching Fox.

Hardwired Tablo TV (720p, 5mbps mode).
Hardwired Roku 3.
Linksys E3000 router (fairly advanced).

I can't speak about the Roku 2 however Roku 3 has no issue with buffering 1080p on wired network connection here.   For anyone using wireless connections, unless you have strong signal I would suggest 720p setting.

At the risk of diverting the direction of this thread, bit rate limitation issues like this are a good reason why Tablo needs to support other devices besides Roku.    

I contacted Tablo support today to close my “Loading Please Wait” ticket.  Since my report above on Oct 13, my issues have been minimal and much less distracting when they do happen.  Switching to Chrome/Roku quality setting, I assume, fixed it.


The suggested trouble shooting was to focus on my chose of Hard Drive.  So I can report that my Hard Drive Kit is working just fine:
Seagate Internal Kit 1TByte,
9BX1A8-575 (SATA)
SABRENT USB Enclosure with AC Adapter
LinkSys WRT54G with hard wired
Ethernet to Tablo
Roku3 and Roku2 are WiFi to the
LinkSys Rounter.
