It seems to me there are some people who have no functionality when there internet is down and some that do. We need to find out what the difference is here. There is obviously something inconsistent with either versions, setups, or otherwise.
In my case, it was a state-wide DDOS attack the cable provider acknowledged. During this time, I could not sign in to any service. Xbox Live was even down. After resetting modem and router at various times throughout the day, still nothing. Clicking on âLive TVâ just presented me with the same âLive TVâ button. I could not get beyond the main menu.
During the entire outage, Netflix remained available through the Roku and Xbox app.
I just confirmed my Tablo requires no updates/no update is available.
I do have a separate router from my Uverse modem, and all my devices are hooked up to that router, both wired and wireless.
I have a Netgear wireless gigabit router connected to a Zoom cable modem. I connect the Tablo by wire through a gigabit switch.
Bright House is down at my house. At lunch, I tried to connect, and it looks to me that Chromium wonât work without internet on a PC. I tried the latest app on my Nexus, and it did not work either. It looks like the old app is working on the Nexus. It was starting to âSyncâ, with a bit of the blue line at the bottom, but I had to leave for work before I could see it finish.
I use the âtablo2go-2.0.55.pyâ script, and it works OK without internet ( but, of course, with WiFi ) !!! Thanks, jskenney !!!
Itâs not the end of the world that I canât connect with my PC, but still more than a little annoying.
Yes anything that uses the âWeb appâ needs to have live internet to work. It is kind of dumb I agree but câest la via.
