Due to the weather in Austin, TX KXAN, the NBC station is preempting the 6 PM - 8:00 PM for a 2 hour weather special. SOMEHOW www.titantv.com has the update. I just forced tthe Tablo guide to update, thinking it would change, but IT DID NOT. How did TitanTV manage to get it? I don’t know if they use Gracenote or someone else.
They may well be using Gracenote, with close to real-time updates. But that doesn’t mean the update made it from Gracenote to Tablo’s servers in real time. And since the Tablo units only get updates once a day (by default), it probably doesn’t make sense for Tablo to do the same thing. Very few users would every force updates mid-day.
