Gettablo.com -- Free Lifetime Guide? Is it a legit Tablo site?

Is gettablo.com a legit website operated by Tablo? It’s offering great deals and lifetime service included. Seems to good to be true, but want a new one (or two) if it’s operated by Tablo not a scammer.

I only scanned thru but did not see lifetime, only free assume is the same 30 days free like always.

The site says " * Free and easy-to-use TV Guide Service with no monthly or annual fees", and “All Tablo bundles come with free and easy to use TV Guide Data Service at no extra charge.”. The comparison chart also shows the monthly fee to be $0.

That’s why I’m wondering if the site is legit.

Again the wording, read what you just posted like a lawyer, * Free and easy-to-use TV Guide Service with no monthly or annual fees", and “All Tablo bundles come with free and easy to use TV Guide Data Service at no extra charge.”. yes guide free (30 days) and indeed no monthly charge for Tablo but after 30 days full guide costs $ plain does not.

Same “Deal” on Tablo site 30 days free full, after that free plain lifetime. Tablo TV Guide Data Subscriptions | Over The Air (OTA) DVR | Tablo

So maybe it is a legit site. Says no monthly fees. Shows the Guide in the ad, directly from TabloTV’s Facebook. And TabloTV’s official facebook account replied in the comments “TV Guide is included with this bundle deal.”

I assume is Tablo itself.

I think they are saying “subscription-free” as in you don’t have to pay monthly to get your local network channels like you would with cable or another service since you are getting it via antenna. I am guessing the subscription-free reference is NOT in regards to the guide data unless it’s referring specifically to the basic guide data @RD4 linked.

If this is from Nuvyyo, I’d take it down, pronto. Just way too much about this ad that is intentionally (IMHO) deceptive.

The 24 guide service is free for lifetime (of the product) though and they don’t mention anything about how many days of data they provide so I don’t think it is deceptive.

Hmmm… I think it’s deceptive. Unless you are intimately aware of the Tablo line.

It’s worthy of a punch to the gut post purchase, let’s just put it that way.

It is only deceptive to you because you know TabloTV premium services. What are the saying that is incorrect?

With the 30 day trial, they introduce the premium services but you don’t have to subscribe, I know I didn’t.

I guess it’s good to go. Go Tablo with it’s free lifetime EPG then.

I’m just saying such a statement would not have flown originally. Tablo is very very confusing now. Half of the KB makes zero sense in light of their full product line.

But as cjcox said this is deceptive by design not accident. Could have just easily been forthright and had - And limited Tablo guide for free- followed by explanation of difference between the 2 guides. I’m not on facebook, someone should ask simple direct question - I assume the free guide is the limited 1 day guide correct?

See: Tablo TV Guide Data Subscriptions | Over The Air (OTA) DVR | Tablo (1 day)

Of course, without the “true EPG” via sub, you also don’t get features like Tablo Connect, noting that feature is now only on “Tablo units” and not “Tablo units” (I emphasized the problem with calling everything “a Tablo”). And “type of show” features, etc.

Again, where do they write about Tablo Connect and you could argue that they offer an expanded guide for subscribers and not a limited guide for free. Anyone contemplating a purchase should probably find this page Tablo TV Guide Data Subscriptions | Over The Air (OTA) DVR | Tablo but if they don’t Tablo does sent a lot of spam email explaining what it can do in the 30 day trial and if you don’t like it you can send it back for free.

They are giving you a free guide with the purchase of a new tablo they will email you a code for the free lifetime guide after you set up your new tablo.

If true, fantastic!!! But then you wonder why this is so hidden. Interesting.

It not hidden but you have to go to get tablo.com to get the offer.
