My Gen 4 - 2 tuner Tablo with 1 TB drive is deleting recordings that are a couple of weeks old.
My hard drive is only 9% full.
I do not have any filters active.
We use a roku to access it.
A week or so ago we turned it on and it showed no recording and none for future.
I unplugged the tablo and after it re-booted our library came back.
Now we have noticed older shows we were saving are disappearing.
Is there any way to get them back?
Would “locking” them do any good?

Under Storage Options in Settings, do you have auto-delete Recordings turned on?
I had something similar. Currently have auto delete turned off and after a reboot, it somehow recovered a lot of hard drive space. Still lost a lot of recordings, but things stabilized as far as I can tell.
I have a gen 4 - 4 tuner with no external hard drive. Auto delete is turned on. I don’t believe I have ever exceeded 75% full. My wife noticed a couple of her older episodes of seaside hotel disappeared. How full is full? When does autodelete decide to delete? When it is actually full or at some % full?

I’ve stumbled onto my answer I think!
A little follow up.
My hard drive is 2 TB not 1 TB.
It is reporting 89% available.
I checked storage settings and auto delete was and is OFF.
My Library - Recent only displays shows from Oct 20 to present.
I “found” my many missing shows and a movie by clicking
Library and then ALL rather than recent.
I’m sorry I guess I’m a dunce but I was assuming all my shows would remain
in the Library until I had deleted them.
Apparently they age out of Recent in a couple of weeks but remain in the ALL listing??
At least that’s what is seems like.

check ALL and see if they’re in there.

AJG- go to your library and check in the ALL category rather than just looking in Recent.
I found many of my missing shows there.
Thanks for the advice. But ALL shows the same info as the recent. I’ve ordered a external drive with the assumption it is / was a space issue.

@KentuckyDan, You are not a dunce. Many others experienced the same thing when they just started using the Tablo. That is why a lot of us wish that Tablo had a ‘Recorded’ function that would display all of our recordings.
All it would take is for Tablo to change the ‘Recent’ function to ‘Recorded’, and show all of the recordings, not just the last couple of weeks.

When you select ‘All’, the menu should show all of your recordings. Is that not the case?
Yes, but in addition to the recordings, it also displays upcoming shows. That makes searching for an older recording harder, by having to carefully look through everything that is displayed. If you have a lot of upcoming shows, it gets worse.
Others on this forum have expressed the desire for a list of just our recordings (all of my previous recorders had that feature). Actually, I think it would be hard to find a DVR without the ability to display your list of recordings (only the recordings).
I agree that the Tablo does have the ability to display your recordings, but I think a list of just the recordings would be a lot better.
