Favorites Stuck On with Android Apps (The Fix)

I just set up a Tablo Quad 4th gen this afternoon. I had a few channels that I had originally setup as favorites, but I realized I didn’t want all of them, so I unchecked them from the list.

I had one channel that just would not stop showing up as a favorite in all of my android apps. It was successfully removed from my Roku apps. Searches said to clear the cache or reboot.

I found the fix that worked for me. It required not only clearing the cache, but clearing the data. This meant the app required re-registering my UID & password as if it was a new install. This removed the favorite on all of my android devices. Just thought I’d share In case it can help someone else.

On a side note, when I first tried to create an account with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Android 16, I could not enter a UID, PW or 6 digit pin without first typing them on notepad and copy&pasting them into the fields. I definitely wish this procedure was available on a computer. But, you only have to set it up once.

On another side note, so far I’m happy with the setup for the cost. I only want it for about 6 local channels and I rarely even watch them as it is. Compared to the other options available, I feel like it’s the best deal for me. Now, the question is how reliable it will be recording.
