My setup is completely WIFI based. WIFI Tablo, iPad and Apple TV. Lots of WIFI hops, so skipping forward over commercials takes a while.
Each “30 second” hop forward seems to take about 5-10 seconds of buffering. Seeking any solution to make fast forwarding faster.
Ideas include:
1) more buffering on playback (2-5 minutes) to get us over the commercial break
2) scrub with preview frames. Say 30 second interval on preview frames. This will allow us to find what we’re looking for quicker.
3) a “60 second” hop forward button on the GUI
Overall though, very happy with the product. Easy to setup and use. Picture quality is great on playback. Great job Tablo!
