I’m watching the Daytona 500. After 11 laps it went into a rain-delay that has lasted nearly two hours so far (and doesn’t seem to be getting resolved any time soon). When I first programmed it to record I added an extra hour. I would like to change it to extend it even further, but it does not seem to be something you can change once the program starts.
I know that I could simply set it to record what is on the schedule after the race, or maybe cancel the recording and then start the recording anew with a longer extensions. I was just wondering if anyone has come up with a better solution.
I take it back, you CANNOT cancel the recording and then start the recording anew with a longer extension. As soon as you cancel the recording, and start recording again you are…once again… dealing with a recording in progress and you CANNOT extend the recording. Not only that, but I lost the extension that I would have had if I had just left it running.
To make things worse, there is now an error in my guide showing an empty hour immediately after the scheduled time for the race. And, as we all know, if there is an empty space in your guide you can’t record there, so I can’t even record the program after the race, because there is not one. I guess I screwed myself over.
I’m not a huge NASCAR fan, so I am not all that disappointed. At least I can watch it live.
I’m that way with live golf - it’s nice to watch a low-key event that usually has outstanding audio and video quality. Thanks for the info on your findings.
That is only for the legacy Tablo. 4th gen doesn’t have manual recordings.
If this happened to me, I would just record the show(s) after it. It will look weird in your recordings (you will have to remember that those shows are part of the race and not some random show(s)).
